Creating your own jarred minced garlic ensures you control what goes into it, avoiding preservatives and additives often found in store-bought versions. Besides garlic, recipes may include oil and salt for flavor and preservation. Making it at home is incredibly simple and cost-effective, requiring just a few minutes of preparation. When stored in the refrigerator, homemade jarred minced garlic can last for several months, while freezing offers a longer shelf life. Enjoy the convenience of having this essential ingredient on hand for all your culinary adventures (it's great for our creamy garlic dressing recipe)!

  • Fresh garlic cloves

  • Olive oil

  • Salt (optional)

  1. Peel and finely mince the garlic cloves.

  2. Place the minced garlic in a clean, sterilized jar.

  3. Pour enough olive oil over the minced garlic to cover it completely.

  4. Add a pinch of salt, if desired, for flavor and preservation.

  5. Seal the jar tightly and store it in the refrigerator for up to 3 months.

  6. Alternatively, freeze the jarred minced garlic for long-term storage.
